We all have had that voice that whispers in our ear that we aren’t good enough or we can’t do it. That voice could come late in the night, middle of the day, or first thing in the morning. Or you may hear it all day long. Past being annoying, it can wear on your self-esteem and confidence. We feel like we only have the “devil” sitting on our shoulder and he won’t shut up. I wish I had the magic answer to just get rid of the him and/or the voice. However, here are a couple of ways to drown it out. Hopefully it helps.

This was very good. A little over a week ago I started a declarations page with passages of scripture and other things to speak over myself. I actually recorded my declarations onto my iPhone and while I’m out walking I will have them playing in my ear. This has made such a HUGE difference in my outlook and disposition, and has afforded me an opportunity to really target some things that I want to see changed.
I often wake in the morning with a particular melody playing in my head. I will find the song on Youtube or in the apps store and will listen to it all throughout the day. Another great method for encouragement.

That’s a great idea Chris. Recording yourself and than listening is a wonderful way to use the power of affirmations. Thanks for sharing.

There always seem to be too many negative voices around us, unfortunately.
